A lot of quilting: Thursday, Friday, Saturdaay

Well, I needed to take some time off of work and get a lot of this project finished, so I took Thursday and Friday off of work and headed to Fillmore. I started quilting about 10:30 am and ended about midnight on Thursday. I got so much done!

This is a small crib quilt I had pieced years ago. I had the top, back and batting. I quilted the top in a light purple and it turned out cute. It took 2 hours to load and quilt. 

 This saylor quilt top and back was donated from the DI. I used some of Leisa's batting and quilted a crosshatch with rulers, 1 1/2 hours to quilt.

The DI had sent this green/yellow fabric and it was marked as a small twin. I thought it was kind of ugly at first but after quilting it, I think it turned out cute. I paired it with green fabric from Ingrid and batting donated by my Auntie Ve. I quilted the circles on it which took 3 hours.

This top was donated by the DI and I paired it with a blue back from Ingrid and a batting donated by my Auntie Ve. I decided to try quilting cobbles and using rulers and chanel locks for straight lines. I thought at first it was turning out ugly, but now that its finished, it turned out good. I like to quilt straight lines and got better quilting cobble stones. I almost finished this one Thursday night but got too tired and it was late so I finished it Friday morning. This one took 5 hours!

 Friday morning:
After finishing the big one from Thursday, I put on this cute bear crib quilt. I used light blue thread on this one and paired it with a denim fabric donated by Elisa and batting donated by my dad. This one took 1.5 hours.

 I love love this one. It might be my favorite. Sherrie brought over the fabric for the top which was pieced quickly into strips. the back is kind of a denim fabric that is green. Half of it is even faded in spots. I quilted this in light blue thread, looks awesome and quilted my favorite, easy scribbles which took 3 hours.

 This one turned out so cute. It was random blue fabrics from Ingrid that I cut into bricks and sewed together. I used a back from Ingrid as well and a batt from my Auntie Ve. It was hot, I was tired so I used the same light blue thread I have used on many quilts and the same scribble easy pattern which took 2.5 hours.

This is a crib sized quilt that was pieced with fabric from Ingrid and backing was from Leisa, the batting was from my dad. I used... you guessed it, light blue thread and the scribbles pattern. Quick and easy, there are so many quilts that need to be done. 2.5 hours. 

It is so cute! I love it!

 This one is so cute! They all are!! Again, fabric from Ingrid and a back from Leisa. This project would not have been so successful without generous donations from Leisa, Ingrid, Auntie Ve, dad and Judy. I quilted straight lines, different widths apart in light blue thread. So cute!

This top fabric was given to me by my neighbor. I do not like it much but it is very nice, expensive fabric. The back was donated by Janeen and the batting by Leisa. The thread was the same light blue and did the scribble pattern again.

It was so late on Friday. I was so tired! It takes so much time to do one quilt! Ironing the fabric, loading it onto the machine and winding bobbins. It was 11 at night I finally talked myself into Ironing one more quilt and getting it loaded onto the frame before bed. 

I quilted this one Saturday morning and did not take pictures. here is the final picture though. I did change thread though, haha. I choose a dark olive green thread. Front is from Ingrid, back from Leisa and batt from my dad. It turned out nice. 1.5 hours. One more and I'm calling it quits. 

 My final one is this green strip one from Ingrid and back from Leisa, batting from my dad. I used the same olive green thread, quilted straight lines which took one hour and I'm done! Finally over 41 hours of quilting time! I still have about 5 quilts to quilt which I will quilt at a later date and donate them to the DI.

 Here they all are trimmed and folded. 12 quilts in 2.5 days. Now they need to be bound.
