Just got back from Quilting

I arrived in Fillmore and started quilting at 6:00 p.m. This past week I was researching and watching YouTube videos about the Handi Quilter and I learned a lot. I was excited to practice what I learned. I first started this quilt, the fabric and batting was donated by Sherri.
I downloaded a free pantograph from Urban Elements, I modified it so that I could quilt more than one row in one pass before advancing the quilt. This was a mistake, when I went to advance the quilt and start again, there was nothing to line the rows up. Every row I printed was different. This was my mistake, not Urban Elements. I learned to not modify patterns. After quilting this quilt which took 3 hours, I threw the handmade pantograph away. This was quilted with grey thread. I wish I had light pink or orange thread, oh well, it turned out cute.

I learned how to baste on YouTube! It is quite easy. I also learned to not stretch your fabric. Before, I had had my quilt stretched quite tight!

Remember, I HATE my photo taken. When I finished this quilt at 9:00 everyone in the house was going to bed. Time to start a very big quilt.
